Flu Shot 2016

The influenza season is just around the corner.

If you are wondering where you will be able to get you flu shot this year, here is some important information.

As the result of changes in the way the KFL&A Heath Unit distributes public influenza shots, there will not be a public immunization clinic on the Queen’s campus this year.

However, the Flu Shot is still ready available.

For faculty, staff and students, flu shots are available at the Drugsmart Pharmacy in the Queen’s Centre. Information and appointment bookings can be found at http://www.drugsmartpharmacy.ca/travel-clinic/

The KFLA Health Unit is running regular Immunization Clinics in their offices at 221 Portsmouth Ave in Kingston. Details at https://www.kflaph.ca/en/clinics-and-classes/Immunization-Clinics.aspx

The flu shot is also available through your family doctor and at a number of pharmacies in Kingston.

Queen’s students can also get the Flu shot at Student Wellness Services in the LaSalle Building (140 Stuart Street). More information can be found at http://www.queensu.ca/studentwellness/health-services

The Occupational Health and Safety Act requires that a copy of the Act and Regulations be posted in all workplaces.

The Department of Environmental Health & Safety has received ongoing funding to purchase copies of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (The Green Book) on behalf of departments. In order to establish this process, we need to know how many green books you will need for your department based on the number of safety boards that you have.

Please submit your order by May 27, 2016 at the following website:
