First Aid Training

First Aid Course

Standard First Aid and Adult CPR (Level A - does not include infant or child).

To promote a safe workplace on campus, this training is only available to Queen's Faculty, Staff or Graduate Students. There is no charge to participate, however, a valid account code string is REQUIRED to register.

Certification expires after 3 years. Instruction is given by an outside company that is a WSIB approved provider. If you have never completed First Aid training, or you completed training more than 3 years ago, please register for one of these sessions.

Instruction is done by both lecture and practical components.  *Please dress appropriately*.

We require a minimum of 72 hours cancellation notice (3 business days). Departments or individuals will be charged $65.00 for cancellations without required notice or for 'no-shows'.

All courses are 2 days in duration, and run from 9:00 to 4:00 each day. All Courses are in the  Faculty and Staff Learning Facility, Complex B176 of Mac-Corry Hall, in the Seminar Room.

This topic fills quickly and has limited space.  Please see the registration form for availability.

First Aid Refresher Training

Content will include Standard First Aid and Adult CPR (Level A). Instruction is given by an outside company that is a Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) approved provider. Training is available to Queen's University Faculty, Staff or Graduate Students.

Eligibility: Must have completed Standard First Aid training (2 day) at Queen’s University within the last 3 years, and be currently certified. This “Refresher” training extends your certification for an additional 3 years. After the Refresher expires you will need to complete the Standard training again.

There is no charge to participate, however, a valid account code is REQUIRED to register. (Many research accounts are not eligible for this type of charge)
